Our programs are designed for players of all ages and abilities, from beginners who are just starting out to seasoned players looking to take their game to the next level.

MEET YOUR COACH

Denis Lazo-Cruz

Head Coach

CEO and founder of Futbol DLC, Coach Denis Lazo-Cruz created Futbol DLC with the idea to create players who not only learn and master the physical skills of soccer but also empower the athletes with the mental tools needed to learn and become the players they want to become. Having earned All-County and All-State award in high school, coach Denis has the knowledge of what it takes to work hard as an individual. Along with these individual accomplishments, coach Denis won several LIJSL division championships, the Waldbaums Cup and the Eastern New York State Cup with several Long Island (NY) clubs. He went onto to play in the very competitive NCAA Division 2 East Coast Conference for the St. Thomas Aquinas college Spartans where he was a four year starter and captain for three years.

He has now been coaching at the competitive club level for over 10 years working with clubs from New York and California. At the high school level, coach Denis has 7 years of experience working with JV and varsity teams.
